Dil Dosti Dance

Dil Dosti Dance (popularly known as D3) is a tele-series on Channel [V].
It celebrates friendship (dosti) in a cliched way,
but the dance routines have caught the fancy of the viewers.
The likes of Shakti Mohan, Kunwar Amarjeet Singh, Shantanu Maheshwari & Pratik Kalsi, who star in the series, have already become household names nationwide, especially for the teen & pre-teen audience base.

The story follows Kria, a 19-year-old girl from Dehradun. Her mother doesn't allow her to dance, which is Kria's passion, and so, she gets into St Louis College in Mumbai, where she can secretly dance. But to her surprise, her college is divided into two rival groups, the Dazzlings and the Weaklings.

The Dazzlings are children of rich parents, and have a clear superiority complex. They are good dancers, and do not allow any one else to join their dance team. The team is led by Sharanjeet "Sharon" Rai Prakash, daughter of dance guru Gautam Rai Prakash, and Reyaansh "Rey" Singhania, the college heartthrob. The others in the Dazzlings team are Vicky, Nilesh, Simi and Rini.

Rey had actually seen Kria in a new year party in dehradun and had fallen in love with her right then.

At St Louis, Kria is ragged badly by the Dazzlings. But Rey secretly admires her and helps her. She holds her own and decides to form a dance team to compete against the Dazzlers in the upcoming nationwide dance competition - Footloose. She calls her team the "Weaklings" and it consists of her, Neha, Vishakha, Bharat, Swayam and Amar. Swayam has a huge crush on Sharon and believes that one day she will realise his love for her.

Friendship celebrated each day, in every special way.....

Each day is special and each friend is special,
as each day brings forth unfathomable joy,
when friends do small but significant things that clinch
the bond, in too special a way.

Friends @Tutorials

Friends make tutorial classes fun.
Tutorials are mostly boring, unexciting, and, hence, the company of friends makes all the difference. Even boring lectures and notes cease to be stressful, the trauma of assignments and evaluations seem undaunting, and the pressures are momentarily lifted as one feels that "I'm not alone who has to endure all these trials and tribulations. Mt friends are there with me. We are in the same boat, brother!"

Multi-ethnic Friends

I have many friends who study in American, Australian and British colleges, far away from homeland, yet they all seem to have a really have great time in the company of multi-ethnic friends over there. This is a phenomenon which deserves some focusing on. I think it the multi-ethnic mix can be truly advantageous in many ways. First, it helps one get to know about different cultures. Students who come to study at a foreign location are a great way to introduce oneself to their languages, nations, and even religions. It ennobles one. Basking in the diversity that one is suddenly exposed to can be beneficial to appreciate and analyse one's own cultures and traditions as well. I have seen some of my friends becoming more conscious individuals when it comes to being averse to one's heritage and traditions, and one's roots, all thanks to their wide exposure to the broad-based human pageantry. One is able to connect better with one's true self, or true identity, and one can imbibe a positive global identity, without any conflict generation to do so. One picks up good traits, and should hopefully shun the bad traits that may have been ingrained due to a certain shallowness. Hence, to sum up, make friends from far & wide, as it is all the more fun.

Friendship in Tinsel Town

Friendship in tinsel town is mostly superficial. But there are exceptions for sure. Sometimes stars bond for a cause and lend support to each other as well while they do so. Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Govinda, Akshay Kumar & Saif Ali Khan seem to reiterate this trend.

The company of friends equals happiness galore

There's nothing like a relaxing weekend or a holiday in the company of friends.
Playing with friends, outdoors.....
or, simply taking a hike,
or, exploring new and exciting places
becomes a real treat of sorts.
Friends add the extra bit of zing;
the innocent banter and the chill-out sessions
in their company enlivens one's holiday
in a whole new dimension.
Thus, to put it simply, the company of friends......

.........equals happiness galore.

Forever Friends

Friendship should never end.
Ideally.

When two people -
whether two boys,
or two girls,
or a boy and a girl -
become friends, they do not
and should not
think that this bond is anything but permanent.
It's true that nothing in this world of ours
enjoys permanence,
but, at least in our hearts,
we should cherish the bond of friendship, forever!

I dedicate this piece to the all those
who love to be called FOREVER FRIENDS!

Friendship celebrated in 'Ishaan'

'Ishaan' - the popular television series for kids & teens on Disney Channel - celebrates friendship.

'Ishaan - Sapnon Ko Aawaaz De' is all about a fifteen year old boy, named Ishaan, and the choice that he makes between music and his friends. Ishaan wants to be famous, and deserves to be famous too.

Tapasvi Mehta plays Ishaan. Also in the cast are: Ayaz Ahmed, Anisa Butt, Rohan Shah and many others.

The series isn't at all preachy, yet it has a well-meaning theme for sure.

'Ishaan' connects to kids & teenagers, quite naturally, with its fresh & youthful perspective.

Disney Channel India released the music album of 'Ishaan'

The songs are really catchy, and make one catch up with easy groove.
