Friendship: Filmy style male-bonding

Films are known to celebrate friendship.
And none does it better than our Hindi films.
Bollywood thrives on the age-old formula of friendship
and male-bonding that is often a reflection of the male-bonding
that is common in Indian society.
And sometimes it is far more glorified and eulogized than credible. 
Here's looking at the male-bonding images from a recent film 
"Pyaar Ka Punchnama" - favorite of mine. 
In this film, even love, and women, take a backseat 
when it comes to the highs of heterosexual male-bonding 
that is actually very realistic vis-a-vis middle & upper middle-class 
mindsets. 
At times there's even a bit of homo-erotic touches, and sexual innuendos, 
but all in good fun, supposedly.

Special friends

Some friends are special. Sometimes just two friends, two guy friends, share a special kind of bond. It might raise eyebrows. But that's what the cynics do, that's what the shallow people talk about, as they envy this bonding.

Two special friends rise above all shallowness in the world, and revel in a friendship that's akin to platonic love. It's that guileless, bindaas, khaas dosti I salute to.

Friends Forever!!!

Some friendships begin early.... 
right when we are just toddlers... 
when friendship forms effortlessly... 
when we are simply happy to be together... 
we share, we fight, we achieve a lot... 
over the years... 
we grow, but we never think of growing apart... 
we have our differences, 
we have distances between us - just physical... 
only fate can cut loose our bond, 
cruel fate snatches away a dear friend, 
and the rest of us... 
we get extend our arms for one another... 
for support, we are bereaved... 
we never did fathom why we remained friends... 
but FRIENDS we are... 
we celebrate 
FRIENDSHIP... 
we are 
FRIENDS FOREVER!
